Our Story 

Blue Moon is a family business at its best with recipes we’ve been perfecting for years. We got our start at the local farmers market where we knew every customer’s name and sourced many own ingredients from our own garden. We’ve grown since then, but we continue to carry that same small-batch homegrown flavor. We pride ourselves on making life more flavorful with our fun and fresh specialty foods, all handcrafted with love and the finest ingredients available in our South Carolina kitchen. Blue Moon was founded by Chris “Wishbone” Walker who has dedicated his life to the pursuit of fresh, delicious, flavorful food. He started his love affair with food before he was old enough to see over his mother’s kitchen counter and his passion continued to grow as he worked in restaurants as a chef, caterer, manager and owner. He took a break from the restaurant scene and worked in food-service sales while raising his family, but always maintained a well-curated garden of fresh herbs and produce and never stopped creating in the kitchen. Blue Moon is the culmination of his life’s work and he’s pinching himself that he gets to have this much fun sharing his food with friends, old and new, near and far. In 2016, Wishbone wooed his daughter Molly to join the team and help him to open his first retail location. Molly has a corporate marketing background and spent a decade honing her skills with big national companies like Amazon.com and Pure Barre. With three young kids, Molly decided the time was right to partner with her Dad and help him take the business to the next level. Wishbone and Molly have since brought on an all-art team of chefs, bakers, and support staff who are over the moon excited to work together toward their collective dream: to make people happy with food.
